Winter Garden Statistics

Located in Orange County which has seen substantial job growth of around 28.2% over the past 10 years and being located just 14 miles west of downtown Orlando, Winter Garden is in prime position to be a thriving suburb. However, not content with just being a “bedroom” suburb, the City Commission undertook an aggressive strategy to make Winter Garden the ideal place to grow both families and businesses. This led to a robust business community, with the median household income of $76,269 being nearly $24,000 higher than the median throughout the rest of the state in 2017.

Of course, you also need things to do during your off time, and Winter Garden can provide. The city is known for its many recreational amenities and a wealth of historical and natural assets. The historic downtown of Winter Garden is filled with restaurants, shopping, cafés and several museums. It also includes regional amenities such as the Garden Theatre, a renovated cinema which was turned into a performing arts venue by the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation. The city also includes natural amenities, being nestled on the shore of Lake Apopka and a vital stop on the award-winning West Orange Trail.  If you need even more entertainment, you only need to venture out 25 minutes to reach both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando.
